EdgeFastLow-asetukset
Säädä radioasetuksesi EFL-asetuksiin, ja pääset mukaan paikalliseen meshiin.
Meshtastic käyttää oletuksena LongFast-asetuksia. Ne eivät kuitenkaan toimi Pirkanmaalla muun radioliikenteen vuoksi. Marraskuussa 2025 Pirkanmaalla siirryttiin EdgeFastLow-asetuksiin (EFL), jotka paransivat meshin toimintavarmuutta ja suorituskykyä huomattavasti.

You can add up to seven more channels, but they are not free. Every channel shares the same frequency and the same airtime, so a busy secondary channel comes straight out of the budget described in etiquette. A quiet private channel between two people is fine.

iOS coding rate
The iOS app currently writes the wrong coding rate. Set it to 7
there and your radio will end up on 8 like everyone else. Android and the CLI
are unaffected.

The Python CLI applies the whole configuration in one pass, which is less error-prone than tapping through the app. Connect the node over USB:

Add --tcp <ip> or --ble to each command if the
node is not on USB. The full recipe, including broadcast intervals and position
precision, is at
/python_cli_setup.txt.
New hardware
Generate your private keys manually when setting up a new node. A factory reset does not reliably do it, and duplicate keys cause real routing problems on the mesh.

Ninety-odd nodes share this airtime. Three settings do most of the work: hop limit 3, broadcast intervals of 6 hours or more on fixed nodes, and the Client Mute role unless your node genuinely helps relay.
