Commercial nodes get you on the air. Building one gets you a node that survives a winter on a roof.
Being written
No guides are published yet. Planned: a weatherproof fixed node, a solar powered
repeater sized for a latitude where December exists, and mounting an antenna on a
mast.
If you have built something and would like it written up here, say so on the channels. Photos of a build that went wrong are just as useful as one that went right.
Safety
These guides will involve lithium cells, mains chargers and in some cases work at height. Each will carry its own warnings and they are worth reading. A node is not worth a fire or a fall.
